He is a man who is living in what was once England, but is now a scary place controlled by Big Brother. Big Brother is always watching. There are cameras spying on ston everywhere he goes. Even in the privacy of his own home there is no privacy. ston knows that it isn’t right, but can’t do anything about it buse even to he a bad thought against the government is a thought crime. ston writes down some of his thoughts and ideas in a notebook. This is also a crime and ston knows that he could be punished for it, but he does it anyway. The more he writes down the more he begins to understand and remember.
